July Round-Up

     This is everything I bought this month. It is way more than usual since I'm living with my aunt who loves to shop and both my mother and grandmother took me on a total of 7 big shopping trips this month. Thankfully this means I am all set for the rest of summer and fall. Overall, this month was way over my budget, but when mom's credit card is buying, how could I resist?

3. Banana Republic Tank (on sale)

4. Black Cardigan from Macy's

5. Graphic print tee J. Crew Factory

6. Kate Spade Watch. Note: I bought this at the outlets in Gilroy, one of the first outlet stores to start carrying watches. Kate Spade watches NEVER go on sale, even long discontinued ones are still $200. I picked this up for a cool $95, basically unheard of.

7. Gap graphic jeans (on sale)

8. Target and Aerie boxer shorts

9. American Rag boots from Macy's (on sale)

10. Roxy swimsuit (outlets)

11. J. Crew Factory trouser socks

And the Holy Grail:

Picked this up at the Ralph Lauren outlet for $120, normally closer to $300 and what I have been looking for for almost a year.

So yeah, I buy a lot of stuff on sale. Here are a couple of my secrets to getting several thousand dollars worth of clothes for only several hundred.

1. Banana Republic outlet, one of my favorite stores and their outlets are the same quality and often same items as the regular store

2. Anne Taylor LOFT has one of the best clearance/sale sections of any store. Things go on sale so quickly. I always check it out when I shop.

3. Go straight to the sale section, not on your way to the dressing room. You save so much money if you fill up on the sale stuff instead of it being the extra stuff.

4. Be careful with J. Crew factory. It is not the same quality, do not expect the t-shirts to last more than a year or so

5. In general have a list in your mind of what you are looking for before you ever head to the mall. I have a running one on my phone. If it's not on the list I don't buy it, doesn't mean mom can't buy it for me though...
