The Class Clothes

Schools vary in the formality of clothes worn to class, but I think there are some basic rules that everyone should follow.

  1.       You about to be in the same room as your future coworkers, a brilliant professor, and hopefully some cute boys. Don’t wear your Nike running shorts and bro tank unless you are headed to practice right after class
  2.       Don’t wear a uniform. There are kids ho wear the same jeans and t-shirt everyday, or worse same khakis and polos. Personalize your outfits.
  3.       Be practical. Nothing that you will freeze or sweat in. No shorts in winter and tights with skirts. In summer be practical but don’t over share. Everything should have straps and cover your crotch. Also wear shoes you can walk in, hobbling in stripper heels is just sad.
  4.        Don’t worry too much. You can toss on jeans and a t-shirt no problem, but have your go to be jeans and a blouse, or throw a casual blazer over your tee. Put in the extra effort, but it is okay to be slob sometimes, specifically midterms, finals, and right after a break up.
Here are a couple of West Coast Prep approved outfits that will have you confidently striding into lecture, and ready for success before the first problem set.
